I'm Alice Quinn, magician. I just graduated from Brakebills College.
[Roleplay blog for Alice Quinn from Lev Grossman's book The Magicians. Pre-Fillory because of reasons (SPOILERS). I'll roleplay with any fandom.]
[Alice was deposited a bit violently from the fountain she’d chosen in the Neitherlands ((ooc: See this post.)) and she nearly fell right on top of someone as she appeared in whatever dimension she’d happened upon. But the more pressing concern was not the man she’d almost hurt, but whether or not she was hurt herself. A couple of scrapes, and she would probably have a few bruises soon, but she seemed like she was all right.
She was surprised to find herself in what looked like a restaurant. A pie restaurant. Well, she knew this wasn’t Fillory.]
[Something in Ned’s peripheral vision caught his attention. It was a person? But Ned wasn’t one to not notice people—he had to. Partly because they’re his customers and partly because they’re people and he’s socially awkward and needs to know where they are so he can know how to best avoid them. So, naturally, it came as a surprise when Ned saw this person that he hadn’t noticed before; it’s almost as though she appeared from thin air… He was confused and he looked it: his head was cocked to the side and his eyebrows were furrowed together. He blinked a couple times, his squinted eyes transfixed on her.]
Uhm, hello. Sorry, I didn’t see you come in… Would you like some pie? [Why does he always ask that? Of course they would like some pie, they’re in a pie shop. He asks out of nerves, he thinks.]
[Alice picked herself up off the floor quickly, adjusting the bag she had slung over one shoulder. She was trying to act like she hadn’t just fallen out of thin air. But this was her first time appearing in a public setting. And there were quite a few people here. But to her relief none of them seemed to have noticed her abrupt arrival.]
Pie… [she repeated] Yes, uh, yes, please. [She sat herself down on one of the stools at the counter.]
